Therefore, various researchers have focused on the use of telehealth in managing a spectrum of conditions. One of such reports is a research work published by Gal et al. (2020). This group of researchers focused on evaluating the feasibility of using continuous glucose monitoring by telehealth to improve access among patients with diabetes. They studied the impact of telehealth application among both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes patients. The continuous glucose monitoring system was offered to the patients through the mail (Gal et al., 2020). Besides, certified education specialists and diabetes care specialists offered instruction on the management of diabetes by using phone or videoconference.
Upon the implementation of the initiative, the researchers focused on days per week of glucose monitoring use as the primary outcomes and monitored the HbA1C values by comparing the baseline values and the values obtained after three months. For instance, they observed reduced technology barriers to the management of diabetes, improved satisfaction with glucose monitoring, and reduced diabetes distress (Gal et al., 2020). The use of the intervention can be integrated into the normal or routine care of patients with diabetes.

Therefore, a patient has to get insulin injections for better outcomes (Xu et al., 2018). Comparatively, in type 2 diabetes, a patient’s body may be producing sufficient insulin, but the body fails to effectively use it, leading to the body fails to make insulin. Various management strategies have been employed in addressing diabetes among patients for better outcomes. While the normal care in most facilities entails the patients going for medication and using them at home, other innovative care strategies have been applied for even better outcomes, such as telehealth.
In the article by Gal et al. (2020), the researchers evaluated the impact of using telehealth to improve access to
glucose monitoring. The telehealth aspects applied by the researchers include phone calls, emails, texts, and video training sessions. Besides, there was an involvement of a multi-professional team that helped in supporting the use of telehealth. The researchers observed substantial improvement within two months and four months of study as there were improved HbAc1 levels among the participants and the use of the continuous glucose monitoring strategy (Gal et al., 2020). Some of the conditions that can easily affect an individual due to the presence of diabetes include cardiovascular diseases, neuropathy, retinopathy, skin conditions, and hearing impairment, among others.
