Teamwork is an important aspect that contributes to success in health care organizations. It ensures that the set goals in an organization are achieved in a collective manner. The collaboration ensures that there is shared responsibility among the team members. It is therefore important that issues related to governance in teamwork be addressed. One of them is defining the roles and responsibility of each of the team members. This is important since it promotes clarity in task undertaking. It also prevents duplication of tasks, which can hinder the effectiveness of a team. The other issue is the need for involvement of all the team members in the project activities. Teamwork entails task execution by individuals with diverse experiences, knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Therefore, they should be actively involved to create harmony among them in undertaking their assigned tasks. Involving them also promotes their empowerment and ownership of the project. They are motivated to identify innovative ways of getting teamwork tasks done efficiently (Weiss, Tappen & Grimley, 2019). Active involvement also minimizes resistance to change from the, which can hinder the success of the team activities.

It is also important that the team leader seek commitment from all the team members. the need for this is attributed to the increased focus on equality in the undertaking of team activities and realization of the set goals. Commitment is also needed since it ensures that there is effective and efficient use of the allocated resources in undertaking the team activities. There is also the aspect of responsibility among the team members that is promoted when they become committed in team activities (Scandura, 2018). Team members should be rewarded and acknowledged at the end of the project. These activities are important since they make the team members valued by the organization. They also become motivated to engage in future team activities and play an active role in facilitating their success.

Healthcare organizations constantly search for new ways of achieving their success. One of the ways that contributes indirectly to organizational success is promotion of safety. It is important that health organizations promote the safety of their employees, patients, significant others of the patients, other healthcare stakeholders, and the communities they serve (Jain, Leka & Zwetsloot, 2018). Several procedures have been embraced in my organization to promote safety. Firstly, the healthcare providers have been trained on the basic principles of safety and ways of responding to safety-related issues. The training has been important in imparting them with the knowledge and skills that are needed for promoting safety in the organization. The other intervention that has been put in place is the development of policies that promote safety. The policies have been developed and shared with the stakeholders of the institution. They guide the stakeholders on the behaviors that are prohibited in the organization since they threaten safety in the institution.

The safety needs of the vulnerable patient populations have also been taken into consideration in the institution. For

instance, the organization recognizes the increased risk of falls among the elderly and confused patients. As a result, it has developed safety protocols and devices that must be followed to minimize these incidences among its patients. The rights of the patients are also highly prioritized in the organization (Bhattacharya & Chakraborty, 2019). The consequences of violating the rights have been communicated to the all stakeholders. Therefore, there are minimal incidences of safety-related issues in the organization due to these procedures. While the above procedures have proven effective in promoting safety in the organization, I feel that some issues need to be addressed. Firstly, the healthcare providers should be provided with refresher training on safety on a yearly basis to promote culture of safety in the organization. Secondly, surveys should be administered to various stakeholders to identify their safety training needs.

Collete, thank you for making an informative post on the issue at hand. Patient safety is an important component of health care quality. Thus, health care organizations are required to undertake specific actions to promote patient care. Moreover, the safety of nurses from workplace induced injuries and illnesses is important to not only the nurses but the patients themselves. To this end, several health care organizations ensure the presence of well-rested nurses, which would ensure that they offer empathic patient care, vigilant monitoring, and vigorous advocacy (Dyrbye et al., 2017). However, most organizations appear not to be doing enough. As such, the usage of a multipronged attack that targets all the relevant stakeholders is fundamental in ensuring that health care safety for not only the patients but the workers, visitors, patients and vendors among others is necessary.

Safety in hospitals is an important aspect as recognized in the IOM Future of Nursing Report. Numerous health care organizations develop strategies and systems that ensure the safety of all the internal and external stakeholders that frequent the premises. One of the most significant strateg4is adopted by hospitals entails the existence of a safety culture. However, safety culture only offers a foundational approach to the issue of safety since a multifaceted approach is necessary to ensure that all the stakeholders are covered (Lawati, Dennis, Short, & Abdulhadi, 2018). For instance, the application of approaches such as care bundles and checklist among others has remarkably improved safety at hospitals.
