Different perspectives on change by those who like it and those who dread it may impact how change management takes place. To prepare for a group that mixes both types of people I would follow change management guidelines based on research and best practices. An example is Prosci’s (n.d.) change management process, which is developed from two decades of benchmarking research and includes nine elements. The first element includes assessing for change readiness. This is ideal for mixed perspectives on change as it assesses both the scope of change and how ready the organization is for the predicted impact (Prosci, n.d.). Understanding every factor impacted by the planned change will help to prepare answers for those individuals who are not open to change and will likely show resistance in the form of questions and comments conflicting with the change goal. The other elements of Prosci’s change management process include communication and communication planning, sponsor activities and sponsor roadmaps, coaching and manager training for change management, training and employee training development, resistance management, data collection, feedback analysis and corrective action, celebrating and recognizing success, and after-project review (n.d.). The step of resistance management is also significant when a group of mixed individuals are involved in a change process. Prosci (n.d.) stresses that resistance must be proactively addressed and recognized as a potential threat to the outcome if not managed effectively. The success and reinforcement of change is also important as it can keep momentum going. Overall, planning, training, positive reinforcement, and following an established change management process will likely result in successful change implementation.

Assessment, Communication and Communication planning, Sponsor Activities and Sponsor Roadmaps, Change Management Training for Managers, Training Development and Delivery, Resistance Management, Employee Feedback and Corrective Action, Recognizing Success and Reinforcing change and After project Review (Prosci, n.d.) These steps are important as a guide for those who like changes. It can be difficult for others who dread changes in which they have to be retrained and understand the reason for the change. In preparing a group for these changes from both types of perspectives a manager must motivate each group, effective communication, build some workshops to familiarize themselves and become comfortable with the change due to all the training that is provide. When a group can feel part of a change along with sharing information this can also make the process much easier to adjust and once the project is implemented the change will not be such a huge impact. At first it will be some getting used to and learning the ins and outs of the required change once fully trained and having the support of the team this will eliminate any confusion and managers will be able to assist employees.
